The Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP) Card

TEMPORARY INSTRUCTION PERMIT (TIP CARD)

As of September 4, 2018, the Louisiana DMV has required all students to obtain a TIP (Temporary Instruction Permit) from the DMV. Bass Driving School, LLC requires that each teen student obtain his/her TIP Card at least one month  PRIOR to their first day of the driver’s education course. Adult students must obtain their TIP Card at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class. Students arriving at the driver’s education course without first obtaining a TIP from the DMV will not be permitted to attend the driver’s education course. Please take a picture of the TIP Card and email it to us. We do not offer refunds.  Please do not put off getting the TIP Card.

You may go online to expresslane.org (click on locations) to see which OMV’s require an appointment.
